Our Landscape Lighting Portfolio

Blue Hour Lighting designs and installs landscape lighting and outdoor audio systems. We’re based in upstate New York, serving Westchester County and the surrounding counties in New York, plus Greenwich and portions of Connecticut. Our work covers residential landscape and hardscape lighting, estate-scale outdoor lighting and audio, and commercial and HOA common-area lighting. Projects are designed, installed, and fine-tuned by our in-house team.

An Overview of a Blue Hour Lighting Project

A dedicated professional walks the property with the homeowner to understand how the outdoor living space is used at night. The visit also notes which entrances and paths need attention and which architectural features and landscaping should be visible. Then a lighting plan is prepared showing every fixture location, aiming direction, transformer placement, and cable path.

Once the scope and estimate are approved and the agreement is signed, fixtures are ordered, and an installation date is scheduled. Each fixture is positioned and then fine-tuned during the lighting installation. Those steps are the five installation stages that every residential project follows.

Scarsdale Lighting & Hardscape

Previous work in Scarsdale brought residential landscape lighting and hardscape lighting together as one coordinated project. Paver, wall, and facade lighting shared a single plan, so the light on the stonework and on the house could be balanced. Where a fixture is recessed into a wall or the paving, the source stays discreet.

Chappaqua, NY

Chappaqua Estate Lighting & Outdoor Audio

On a previous estate project in Chappaqua, Blue Hour Lighting paired lighting for the grounds with a Sonance outdoor audio system. Both were installed under one plan, so the lighting cable and the speaker wire could share the same underground routes. Speakers placed across the listening areas play at a moderate level, which keeps music even and limits how far it carries.

Greenwich, CT

Greenwich, CT, LED Landscape Lighting

In Greenwich, a previous project used LED landscape lighting to uplight a home and the specimen trees surrounding it. After dark, the light brings out the texture of the facade and the shape of each tree canopy. Brass, copper, and stainless steel fixtures hold up well in Connecticut weather, and each estimate lists the fixture materials clearly.

Westchester HOA Common-Area Lighting

Our previous projects also include perimeter and common-area lighting for a residential community in Westchester County. Residents now see the walkways and the entrance more clearly after dark. Light levels on projects like this are measured and documented, giving the board a record to review and keep on file.

What to Look for in a Finished System

Whatever the setting, a well-executed system has no hot spots or harsh glare. Every fixture works at a level that adds depth and detail without competing for attention. By day, the fixtures blend into the landscape, and most can be seen only up close. Shadows fall naturally, with nothing that looks obviously spotlighted, and the light stays inside the property line. Done well, lighting changes how a property feels after sundown without ever looking staged.
